 - **Identity Verification.** For your security, we cannot delete an Account without verifying the requestor's identity.  - **Scope of Deletion Request.** When you request Account deletion, we treat it as a request to delete the Personal Information we hold about you, subject to limited exceptions where we are required or permitted by law to retain certain information.
 - **User Generated Content.** Certain user-generated content you submitted (such as comments or posts) may remain available to preserve discussion integrity, along with your Comments Username and an indicator that your Account has been deleted.
 - **Impact of Deletion.** Deleting your Account will remove your profile and may impact your access to our Services. **_Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone._** We will delete or de-identify your Personal Information unless we are required or have a legitimate business, legal, or regulatory reason to retain certain information, such to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect our rights.

This process includes your Account profile and preferences, as well as other Personal Information we maintain about you across our systems, subject to limited exceptions required or permitted by law.
