1. How Acronis Uses Data Collection Technology
Data collection technology helps Acronis improve your experience with the Sites by, for example, storing your website language preferences, so you do not have to select it each time you use the Sites, compiling statistics about use of the Sites, helping Acronis analyze technical and navigational information about the Sites, and detecting and preventing fraud.

Performance Cookies
These cookies allow Acronis to count visits and traffic sources in order to measure and improve the performance of the Sites. Performance cookies help Acronis gauge the relative popularity of various pages on the Sites as well as see how visitors move around the Sites. Acronis aggregates all information these cookies collect, making it anonymous as a result. Targeting Cookies and Other Data Collection Technology
Depending on the parts of the Sites that you visit, Acronis's advertising partners may set these cookies and other data collection technology. Acronis's advertising partners may use targeting cookies and other data collection technology to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on the Acronis Sites and other sites. They use these cookies and other data collection technology to uniquely identify your browser and internet device, which under certain privacy laws may amount to processing of personal data. If you do not allow targeting cookies and other data collection technology, you will experience fewer targeted advertisements on the Acronis Sites and other sites.
We also use the Reddit Pixel to track interactions on our Sites and to measure ad performance across other sites, and optimize marketing campaigns.

Analytics about the use of the Sites
In addition to the data collection technology presented in the Acronis Privacy Preference Center, Acronis also uses "cookieless" analytics, like Matomo.
This means that we collect anonymous usage data without cookies to analyze Sites interactions such as page visits, clicks, and referrers to help us improve user experience while respecting privacy.
2. Cookie and Data Collection Technology Management
You can control and manage cookies and other data collection technology using Cookies Consent Management Platform / Acronis Privacy Preference Center banner, if Acronis makes it available in your region; directly via the Acronis Privacy Preference Center; or in your very browser. Most browsers allow viewing, managing, deleting or blocking cookies. Please be aware that if you delete or block cookies directly in your browser then some of your preferences can be lost, as well as some functionality may no longer be available, including the ability to opt-out and mange cookies via the Privacy Preference Center as this function itself uses cookie for keeping your preferences.
Acronis does apply Google Consent Mode, Advanced tier. Consent mode communicates users' cookie or app identifier consent status to Google. Tags adjust their behavior and respect users' choices. Consent mode receives users' consent choices from Acronis Cookies Consent Management Platform and dynamically adapts the behavior of Analytics, Ads, and third-party tags that create or read cookies. Do Not Track Signals
Some web browsers (including Safari, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Chrome) incorporate a "Do Not Track" (DNT) or similar feature that signals to websites that a user does not want to have his or her online activity and behavior tracked. If a website that responds to a particular DNT signal receives the DNT signal, the browser can block that website from collecting certain personal information about the browser's user. Not all browsers offer a DNT option, and DNT signals are not yet uniform. For this reason, many website operators, including Acronis, do not respond to DNT signals universally or if not required by law.
Acronis honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar technology (e.g., Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms), as required by the U.S. State Privacy Laws.
Acronis relies on third-party providers for obtaining geo-IP location information about its users, including when enabling or disabling cookies and / or honoring GPC signals.
